Hi OTT Release:
If you failed to watch Hi at the movies, there’s good news for you. The film featuring Kavin and Nayanthara stars is making way to OTT and will now get a second chance to make the audience enjoy the romantic comedy-drama from the comfort of their homes. The Tamil film will premiere on ZEE5 on September 25, 2026.
The film features the directorial debut of filmmaker and lyricist Vishnu Edavan who has previously worked with famous Tamil songs Polakatum Para Para from Master and Badass from Leo. It had its theatrical release on August 28 as the release date of August 14 got pushed back.

What instantly draws attention to the film is that Kavin and Nayanthara are coming together for the first time and the film does not have much of a heavy drama to offer but is all about romance and family relationships with doses of humor added to it.
A fresh pairing at the centre
Kavin acts as Mayil, and Nayanthara acts as Devayani. In the movie, people come across a situation that makes them view their love and relationships differently. Such a plot enables the film a lot of chances for embarrassment, humor, and even romance.
Hi is a career jump for Vishnu Edavan. While he started off as a lyricist, he has now become the writer and director of the whole feature film. It is interesting to note that Edavan has called the movie a family entertainer movie. Yaaradi Nee Mohini and Santhosh Subramaniam are some movies that he likes.

A strong supporting cast
However, the movie does not rely solely on its duo. Some of the members of the supporting cast include Prabhu, K. Bhagyaraj, Radikaa Sarathkumar, VTV Ganesh and Sathyan, along with many others. Moreover, it is also one of the last performances of K. Bhagyaraj on the screen before he passed away.
On the technical side, Jen Martin has scored the music for the film, while Rajesh Shukla and Philomin Raj have taken care of cinematography and editing respectively.
