Blind Game Movie Review:
Every thriller does not have to be released on a big screen in order to create a sensation. All it needs is a good plot and some twists, along with a cast which keeps the audience entertained through and through. That is exactly what this newly launched thriller on ZEE5, titled Blind Game, tries to offer.
With Arjun Rampal and Priyamani playing important roles in the movie, it is released straight on ZEE5 without getting a theatrical release. And here is another factor which makes it worth watching – one can watch it in Hindi for free on the Free5 subscription of ZEE5.
But is it worth adding to your watchlist? Let’s find out.
A thriller that plays with curiosity
The biggest expectation from a film titled Blind Game is obviously suspense. You want a story that keeps you guessing, makes you question what’s happening and doesn’t reveal all its cards too soon.
The film attempts to build exactly that kind of atmosphere. It leans on mystery, character interactions and dramatic developments to keep the narrative moving. There are moments when the curiosity factor works, making you interested in what might unfold next.
However, the ride isn’t equally engaging throughout. Some portions take longer than necessary to develop, and the screenplay could have done a better job of maintaining tension. The idea has scope, but the execution doesn’t always make the most of it.

Arjun Rampal and Priyamani bring familiar screen presence
This is an actor like Arjun Rampal, who seems to ooze intensity. This is just right for the tone of suspense thrillers, and Arjun Rampal manages to give his performance in this film without being over-dramatic.
With Priyamani comes in another actor whose presence on screen we recognize. Priyamani gives her experience as a seasoned actress to the film, along with her screen presence.
Supporting actors include Rohit Chandel, Nakul Roshan Sahdev, Shayank Shukla, Akash Makhija, Noyrika Bhatheja, Chaitanya Jetly, Mahesh Pillai and Anjali Sharma. While contributing to the world of the film, some of these actors lack the development required to make an impact.
Does the suspense actually work?
Now things become more interesting. An entertaining suspense thriller must be able to engage its viewers throughout the whole duration of the movie, because if the filmmaker fails to do that, then no matter how many twists there might be in the plot, the story itself becomes boring.
Although Blind Game has its interesting spots, still the narrative was not very coherent. There were times when the movie became too slow and not all events had their desired effect on the viewers.
Sangeeth Sivan did his best to maintain the mystery of the movie, but the screenwriter should have done much better.
Conclusion: Stream it or Not?
Blind Game may not be a game-changer in terms of thrilling films, but it has its own share of suspense elements and gives the viewer a chance to spend some time with the same old cast. The film has a good premise, although at times, it fails to capitalize on the same.
This movie is highly recommended for those who like to try out new OTT releases. Just keep your expectations low when it comes to a thrilling experience.
And considering that it is available on ZEE5’s Free5 tier, there’s no subscription cost involved in giving it a shot.
Our take: A fairly watchable suspense thriller with a few engaging moments, but one that could have benefited from tighter writing and better pacing.
