The Greatest Series Review:
Muhammad Ali is indeed #TheGreatest, and there’s no second opinion about that!
His life was never just about winning boxing matches. The confidence, the attitude, the controversies, the courage to speak his mind and the way he stood up for what he believed in made him a personality very few could match.
Now, his incredible journey gets the biopic treatment with The Greatest, streaming on @PrimeVideoIN.
Directed by Ben Watkins, the series features Jaalen Best as Muhammad Ali, alongside Omari Hardwick, Dana Gourrier, Amin Joseph, Kai Parham, Michael Ealy, Giovanni Ribisi, Reno Wilson, Erica Tazel and Aleks Paunovic.
First things first, playing Muhammad Ali is no ordinary task. The man had a personality of his own, and getting that larger-than-life presence right is probably the biggest challenge for any actor. Jaalen Best takes on that responsibility, and the casting itself makes you curious to see how he brings the boxing legend to life.
What I like about stories like this is that there’s so much more to explore than what’s happening inside the ring. Ali’s journey had fame, struggles, personal relationships, controversies and some really defining moments. He wasn’t someone who always chose the easy road, and that’s what made his life so interesting.
The series brings attention to the man behind the champion. The boxing world may remember his punches and victories, but his personality, beliefs and fearless attitude are equally important parts of his legacy.
That said, telling the story of Muhammad Ali is a huge responsibility. He’s someone we’ve seen, heard and admired for decades, so expectations are naturally sky-high. No actor can completely replace the original, but bringing his journey to a new generation is definitely worth appreciating.
For me, the biggest takeaway is simple. Muhammad Ali’s greatness wasn’t just about how many fights he won. It was about how he lived his life and how he never stopped being himself.
Verdict: A title that immediately grabs your attention, especially if you’re a Muhammad Ali fan. The Greatest is worth checking out for anyone interested in the life and legacy of one of the most influential sporting personalities ever.
Because legends come and go, but Muhammad Ali will always remain THE GREATEST! ❤️🥊
