Not all stories require a twist or a grand element in order for them to touch the hearts of their audiences. There will be times when all a good story needs is a family drama with some emotions that would feel real enough. This is what Challenge, which you can watch via ETV Win, tries to do.
Challenge is a movie directed by Narendra Varma. It stars Harsha Amrutham, Meena Vasu, Harini Reddy, and Ujwal as the main characters.
The best thing about Challenge is that it tries to portray the emotions within families in their normality and simplicity. The story is about people going through familiar scenarios and emotional situations.
Coming to the performances, Harsha Amrutham does a decent job, while Meena Vasu brings the required emotional depth to her role. Harini Reddy and Ujwal also contribute to the proceedings with their performances. The cast generally fits well into the family drama setup.
The director of Challenge, Narendra Varma, manages to retain the film within a family environment. However, there are parts that touch one’s heart, while the overall effectiveness of the film could have been greater. Challenge offers some captivating sections but not all of them are executed effectively. In some cases, certain scenes could be handled differently for the story to be more absorbing.
What one should appreciate about the film is its effort to concentrate on familial relations and emotions. Still, the script could have been more original and contain more compelling dramatic sections.
Final Verdict:
Challenge is a modest Telugu family drama that relies more on emotions and realistic situations than on commercially oriented aspects. There are some interesting moments in the film, but do not expect it to be exceptionally engaging.
If you enjoy watching small-budget family dramas and prefer simple, relationship-based stories, you can give Challenge a try on ETV Win.
