Steven Spielberg is back in sci-fi territory, and with the release of the first posters for Disclosure Day, it’s already clear this isn’t a nostalgic throwback — it’s something darker, quieter, and far more unsettling.
The newly unveiled posters spotlight Emily Blunt and Josh O’Connor, each framed in stark, minimalist designs that lean heavily into mystery. An eerie gaze, muted colors, and the simple but loaded tagline “All Will Be Disclosed” set the tone. No explosions. No spaceships. Just dread — the slow-burn kind.
At the heart of Disclosure Day is a deceptively simple question:
“If you found out we weren’t alone in the universe, would that frighten you?”
Blunt plays a television news anchor whose world begins to unravel as a global revelation looms, while O’Connor’s character appears deeply entangled in the truth behind it all. Their pairing feels inspired — Blunt brings emotional gravity and realism, while O’Connor carries an unsettling intensity that suggests he knows more than he’s letting on.

What’s most intriguing is how restrained everything feels. Spielberg seems less interested in spectacle this time and more focused on the human reaction to the unthinkable. Fear, disbelief, denial — the posters alone hint that the real story isn’t about aliens, but about us.
If E.T. asked us to look up with wonder, Disclosure Day looks like it’s asking us to look inward with fear.
Set for release next summer, Disclosure Day is shaping up to be one of Spielberg’s most thought-provoking films in years — and if these first posters are any indication, the truth won’t come gently.
