If you’ve been feeling a bit “thriller-fatigued” with all the dark, moody movies coming out of Kerala lately, Bha Bha Ba on ZEE5 is basically the loud, colorful palate cleanser you didn’t know you needed.

Dhyan has this effortless, “I’m just here for the vibes” energy that actually works really well for a comedy like this. Vineeth, who we usually see as the serious filmmaker or the soulful singer, seems to be having a blast just being silly.
Then you’ve got Dileep, who is leaning hard into that high-energy, slapstick style that made him a household name back in the day. When the three of them are just bouncing off each other, the movie genuinely clicks. It feels less like a scripted film and more like a chaotic family gathering where everyone is trying to out-joke the person next to them.
Does the Story Actually Matter?
Honestly? Not really. It’s built around a local temple festival and a bunch of petty rivalries, but the plot is mostly just a clothesline to hang jokes on. Some of those jokes are gold; others… well, they’re a bit of a stretch.
The movie is loud—like, really loud. The music and the editing are dialed up to 11, which can be a bit much if you’re not in the right headspace. It’s basically a live-action cartoon.
