A Small Secret, Big Consequences — ‘Oh Butterfly’ Lands on OTT May 8

Oh Butterfly:

Oh Butterfly is all set to start streaming from May 8 on Sun NXT, and it doesn’t look like your usual romantic drama.

At first glance, it feels like a simple relationship story — a woman takes her husband to a quiet hill station getaway. Sounds peaceful, right? But yeah… not really.

The film follows a woman dealing with something called Harm OCD, and she decides to finally confess a secret from her past. And that’s where things slowly start getting intense. What seems like a small, personal moment turns into something much bigger — kind of like the whole “butterfly effect” idea the film is built around. One action… and everything spirals.

It’s directed by Vijay Ranganathan, and stars:

* Nivedhithaa Sathish

* Ciby Bhuvana Chandran

* Attul

Not exactly a loud, commercial setup — and that’s probably the point. This feels more like a quiet, psychological film that slowly pulls you in rather than hitting you with big moments.

Also, the Harm OCD angle isn’t something we usually see explored in Tamil cinema, so that alone makes it a bit more interesting. If handled well, it could hit pretty hard emotionally.

Streaming on May 8, this might be one of those films you don’t expect much from… and then it ends up surprising you.

Or at least, that’s the vibe it’s giving right now.
