Moolyam on ETV Win: A Simple Story That Quietly Hurts

Moolyam ETV Win Review

Moolyam is now streaming on ETV Win, and honestly, this is not one of those films that tries to grab your attention in the first 10 minutes. It kind of just… sits there, slowly pulls you in, and before you realise it, you’re already emotionally involved.

Directed by P.V. Avinash Varma, the film deals with a very basic but heavy theme — dignity and self-respect, and how easily both can be shaken in real life situations. There’s nothing “cinematic” in a loud sense here, and that’s actually what makes it feel real.

The story follows Mohan Bhagat, Akhil Bhaneshwar, and Deepak Merla, and they don’t play heroes or exaggerated characters. They just feel like normal people stuck in situations that slowly get worse because of pride, ego, and circumstances. A lot of moments feel familiar, like something you might’ve seen around you in real life.

What I liked is that the film doesn’t over-explain anything. It just shows things happening, sometimes uncomfortable, sometimes quiet, sometimes even a bit frustrating. And that silence actually works in its favour.

It’s definitely not a “time-pass” watch. The pace is slow, and if you’re expecting entertainment in a commercial sense, this won’t be that kind of film. But if you sit through it with patience, Moolyam leaves you with a slightly heavy feeling — the kind that makes you think a bit after it ends.

Not perfect, not dramatic, but very human.
