The director of Obsession, Curry Barker takes his time to set up the story. Then he pulls you into a world that’s really dark and scary. This movie does not rely on noises to scare you. It uses the atmosphere and the mystery to make you feel afraid. It also shows how the characters fall apart emotionally.

Michael Johnston does a job playing the main character. He shows how scared and confused his character is. Inde Navarrette is also very good. Cooper Tomlinson, Megan Lawless and Andy Richter all do a job too.

The way Obsession looks is also very good at making you feel uneasy. The lighting is dim the sounds are creepy. The scenes are carefully planned to keep you on the edge of your seat. There are some moments that will make you feel really uncomfortable. That is what Obsession is going for.

Obsession is not a movie. It moves slowly which might be boring for some people. Some scenes feel like they go on for long.. If you stick with it the end is worth it. This is especially true for people who like horror movies that build up to a scare.
