Apple TV+ has officially wrapped filming on the highly anticipated limited series Lucky, starring acclaimed actress Anya Taylor-Joy alongside Drew Starkey. Based on Marissa Stapley’s bestselling novel and Reese Witherspoon’s Book Club pick, the series promises a compelling drama centered around a young woman who must confront her criminal past one last time in order to secure her freedom.
Lucky follows the story of Lucky Armstrong (Taylor-Joy), a reformed con artist who, after carefully leaving behind a life of crime, is forced to embrace her darker side again to escape her history. Drew Starkey plays Cary, Lucky’s husband, who partners with her in a high-stakes heist. Produced by Apple Studios in collaboration with Hello Sunshine, the series is created and co-showrun by Jonathan Tropper, who adapted the story for the screen.
