Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam is finally coming to OTT. It starts streaming on @NetflixIndia from May 8, 2026. If you missed it in theatres, this is basically your chance to catch it at home without the rush.
The film is a 2026 Malayalam dark comedy thriller, directed by Krishnadas Murali, who also co-wrote it with Vishnu R. Pradeep. It’s actually a sequel to the 2024 film Bharathanatyam, so it continues that same family story but in a more chaotic, darker way.
Produced by Thomas Thiruvalla Films and Saiju Kurup Entertainments, the movie brings back that mix of family drama and crime-comedy vibes, where things just keep going from bad to worse in a very “what is even happening anymore” kind of way.
Cast-wise, it’s led by Saiju Kurup, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Jagadish, Vinay Forrt, along with Baby Jean, Kalaranjini, and Sreeja Ravi. Pretty solid lineup, especially if you’re into Malayalam dark comedies.
Story continues around Sasidharan Nair and his extended family, and honestly, it’s less about one big event and more about how everything slowly spirals when people try to fix things… but end up making it worse.
Now with its OTT release on Netflix, it’s probably going to reach a lot more people who enjoy these slightly messy, dark humor kind of films.
