The battle for the music rights of Ramayana has witnessed an exciting twist. Reports suggest that while Sony Music was initially ahead in the race, the latest development sees T-Series coming into the picture with an impressive ₹75 crore bid. According to insiders, the deal has been inked through a handshake and the finalization process has already begun.
This is yet another indication of the immense confidence that the industry has about the music of the film. With Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman teaming up to work on the project, high expectations have obviously been set for their collaboration.
However, a good deal doesn’t mean everything. It remains to be seen how the music turns out once people get to hear it in the film. If the music matches the magnitude of the film, it would definitely go down in history as a great acquisition. Till then, Ramayana remains firmly in the spotlight even before its release.
