There’s some change of pace from Alia Bhatt this time round except that this time around she’s at the helm of production rather than acting.
A trailer of Don’t Be Shy has already been released and it appears that this movie does not have any plans to just become another run-of-the-mill feel good rom-com. This movie features romance, friendship and youth energy, but there’s much more to it as the story seems to address class difference, ambition and making your way up in life.
It is a production of Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt’s Eternal Sunshine Productions and Don’t Be Shy introduces four new talents namely, Aarushi Bajaj, Bianca Arora, Piyush Khati and Ansh Duggal.
And to be quite honest, it’s the new casting that makes this movie trailer even more intriguing.

The trailer introduces us to the world of the young generation whose problems include relationships, ambitions and the real-life consequences of belonging to different social layers.
Though at first sight it may seem that “Don’t Be Shy” is just another romantic comedy movie, the further development of the trailer shows that class differences will play an important role in it.
It seems that the characters of the film are somewhere in-between the reality of their lives and the world of their dreams, the struggle to reach something higher and get to know what you can achieve by yourself can bring some additional meaning to this movie.
Moreover, there is something wild about the trailer. Though it isn’t overpolished, this feature is actually a strength of it because the new actors aren’t trying to resemble movie stars – they play themselves.

As a rule, rom-com films are rather comfortable in their storytelling. Don’t Be Shy might be blending romantic elements with societal aspects, which might alter the effect of a few scenes.
Obviously, the trailer can give only limited information. However, the actual question would be whether this film would have something valuable to say or use the class aspect for the purpose of adding to the drama.

Don’t Be Shy is being helmed by Sreeti Mukerji, whose film allows her to introduce a whole new ensemble of actors to international audiences.
Don’t Be Shy is a product of Eternal Sunshine Productions, the banner launched by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt.
It is quite clear that the goal here would be to develop something young and fresh as opposed to using the usual star-powered approach.
