From Theatres to OTT: LIK Locks in a Second Chance on Prime Video

LIK:

LIK (Tamil) is heading to OTT. The streaming rights are with Amazon Prime Video, which honestly feels like the right space for a film like this.

It’s directed by Vignesh Shivan, and you kind of know what that means by now—relationships, a bit of chaos, some quirky moments, and characters who feel like people you’ve probably seen on Instagram or… are friends with.

The lead is Pradeep Ranganathan, and he’s paired with Krithi Shetty. Not the most obvious combo at first maybe, but that’s also why it’s interesting. Pradeep has that very “regular guy” vibe, and Krithi usually brings a bit more polish, so let’s see how that plays out on screen.

To be honest, this doesn’t feel like a film that needed a massive theatre response to survive. Some movies just… do better when people watch them randomly at home. Like you’re scrolling, bored, click on it, and then halfway through you’re like “okay wait this is actually decent.”

That’s probably where #LIK could work better. Once it drops on Prime Video, more people will give it a shot—especially outside Tamil Nadu, where theatre access isn’t always easy.

No streaming date yet, but these things usually don’t take too long. Few weeks, give or take.

Feels like one of those films that might not make a lot of noise upfront, but then slowly people start talking about it. Not in a “must watch blockbuster” way… more like “hey this was kinda nice, try it.” And sometimes that’s enough.
