MID-CENTURY MODERN

In a surprising twist that’s left fans both baffled and disappointed, Hulu has officially canceled Mid-Century Modern after just one season. The comedy series, which premiered on March 28, promised a fresh twist on friendship, aging, and midlife reinvention — all with the signature sparkle of the Will & Grace creators behind it.
Headlined by a powerhouse trio — Matt Bomer, Nathan Lane, and Billy Porter — the show followed three gay best friends navigating single life under one retro-chic roof. With plenty of sass, shaving cream, and “his, his, his” towels, the chemistry was undeniable. So, what went wrong?
Sources suggest that while the series was lauded for its witty writing and stellar performances, it struggled to find a consistent audience in a crowded streaming landscape. Despite its nostalgic charm and sharp one-liners, Mid-Century Modern didn’t quite strike the gold Hulu hoped for.

Fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment, with many calling for another platform to pick up the series. Whether that wish comes true remains to be seen.
For now, we bid farewell to the fabulous roommates we hardly got to know. Mid-Century Modern — gone too soon, but never forgotten in the hearts of its loyal viewers.
RIP to the most stylish bathroom trio on TV.
