If Wishes Could Kill:
new Korean series called If Wishes Could Kill and it just dropped on Netflix (yeah, it’s on Netflix India too).
And surprisingly… early reviews are actually pretty solid.
From what people are saying, it’s not just your usual horror thing with random jump scares. It’s more of that slow, creepy kind of story — mixed with teenage drama, friendships, and all that emotional stuff. Basically, young adult horror but with some depth.
The whole idea sounds simple on paper — wishes that come with consequences. But the way it plays out seems darker than expected. Like, not “fun spooky”, more like “this is getting uncomfortable” type vibe.
Also, Korean shows have been kind of killing it lately in this space. They know how to mix emotions and tension really well. So even when the story is about something supernatural, it still feels grounded because of the characters.
People online are especially talking about the atmosphere and how the story builds slowly instead of rushing. Which is good, because a lot of shows mess that part up.
That said, it’s still early. Sometimes these shows start strong and then lose track midway. So yeah, we’ll have to see if it actually holds up till the end.
But for now, if you’re into horror that’s not too loud but still creepy enough to stick with you, this might be worth checking out.
Not saying it’s a must-watch yet… but definitely one of those “hmm okay, let’s try one episode” kind of shows.
