Invincible Season 5 Is Coming… Just Not Anytime Soon

Invincible Season 5:

It’s official — Invincible is coming back for Season 5. The only catch? You’re going to be waiting a while. Like… 2027 kind of while.

Invincible has already built a reputation for doing things its own way — longer gaps, bigger payoffs, and absolutely zero interest in playing it safe. And now with Season 5 confirmed for a 2027 release on Prime Video (specifically Prime Video India), it feels like the show is doubling down on that approach.

Not gonna lie, the wait sounds rough. But if you’ve been following the series so far, you probably know this isn’t exactly surprising.

The last few seasons have been… a lot. In a good way, mostly. The story keeps expanding, the stakes keep getting higher, and Mark Grayson’s life somehow keeps getting more complicated and more brutal at the same time. Every time it feels like things might settle down, the show just pulls the rug out again.

Season 5 doesn’t have a ton of details out yet — no big plot reveals or trailers or anything like that. But based on where things have been heading, it’s safe to assume it won’t suddenly become a chill superhero story. If anything, it’s probably going to get even heavier.

What makes Invincible work isn’t just the action (though yeah, the action is intense). It’s that it actually sits with the consequences. People don’t just bounce back. Relationships change. Characters carry stuff with them. And over time, that starts to hit harder than any fight scene.

By the time Season 5 rolls around, the show will have had a pretty long runway to build all of that up. Which could mean something bigger, more layered — or honestly, just more emotionally exhausting in the way fans have come to expect.

Either way, 2027 feels far off right now. But this is one of those shows where people will probably stick around, even if it takes time.

Because when Invincible comes back, it usually gives you a reason it took so long.
