After Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun’s next film is Raaka, directed by Atlee. It’s a huge project, very ambitious. They even dropped a glimpse on his birthday recently and said it’ll release in 2027.
But honestly… that might not happen.
From what people are saying inside, the shoot is only about 40% done so far. Still a long way to go. They’re hoping to finish shooting by mid-2027, but the real issue is post-production. This film depends a lot on VFX, and multiple international studios are working on it. Whether they deliver on time or not — that’s the big question.
The plan right now is to release it in December 2027, kind of like Pushpa. But there’s already doubt if they can actually make that deadline.
If they miss December, Sankranti would usually be a good backup. But even Sankranti 2028 seems unlikely at this point. So yeah… summer 2028 might be more realistic.
Basically, unless everything suddenly speeds up — especially the VFX work — it’s hard to see Raaka coming out in 2027.
