Jailer 2 Box Office Collection:
Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 has officially entered the record books. The Nelson Dilipkumar directorial has crossed a massive ₹710 crore worldwide in just 11 days and has now become the highest-grossing Tamil film of all time.
According to the latest trade estimates, the film has collected around ₹710.35 crore worldwide by the end of Day 11. It has comfortably gone past the lifetime worldwide collection of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s 2.0, which is reported at around ₹691 crore.
That means Jailer 2 has not just become another successful Rajinikanth movie. It has set a new benchmark for Kollywood.

Jailer 2 Is the New Kollywood Box Office King
The speed at which Jailer 2 reached these numbers is what makes the achievement even bigger.
In three days’ time, the movie surpassed the figure of ₹300 crore across the globe, and in four days, it surpassed ₹400 crore. Within 11 days’ time, the total box office collection of the movie worldwide has touched ₹710.35 crore.
The domestic performance of the movie is also not lagging behind. The net collection in India from the movie is ₹398.70 crore, while the Indian collection is approximately ₹466.85 crore. Overseas collection for the movie is ₹243.50 crore.
Interestingly, Jailer 2 still had a strong second weekend. It made around ₹64.35 crore net in India from Friday to Sunday, showing that the film is still finding plenty of audiences in theatres.
Rajinikanth Returns as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian
The sequel brings back Rajinikanth as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, the retired jailer from the first film.
This time, Pandian’s peaceful life is disturbed by a new threat connected to an international criminal network. Forced back into action, he once again uses his old skills to protect his family and take down the people coming after them.
Nelson has expanded the world of Jailer this time, giving the sequel a much bigger scale and bringing several familiar and new faces into the story.
A Huge Star-Studded Cast
Apart from Rajinikanth, Jailer 2 features a massive ensemble.
S. J. Suryah stars as the main antagonist, and Ramya Krishnan reprises her role of Ashtalakshmi. Other actors who make up the ensemble include Vidya Balan, Mithun Chakraborty, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff and Vijay Sethupathi.
Hrithik Roshan makes an appearance in the film, adding yet another Bollywood star to the list of connections made by Jailer 2.
