Jana Nayagan release date and OTT platform:
After some uncertainty, popular actor and TVK president Vijay (referred to as “Tamil Nadu CM Vijay”) has reportedly taken oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on Sunday. As a result, public attention has now shifted toward the release of his film Jana Nayagan.
At the swearing-in event in Chennai, when producer KVN was asked about the film, he said:
“Everyone is talking about Jana Nayagan, but Vijay is now the real Jana Nayagan of Tamil Nadu. We are very happy. We are waiting for the censor certificate of Jana Nayagan. Once we get it, we will release the film. Congratulations to Vijay on becoming Chief Minister. We hope he fulfills the promises made to the people.”
The political action film directed by H. Vinoth and starring Vijay has been delayed due to censor-related issues. The matter has gone to court, and a special revising committee has been formed. The final release date will depend on the committee’s report.
Meanwhile, the OTT rights for Jana Nayagan are reportedly confirmed to be with Amazon Prime Video, and the film is expected to stream on Amazon Prime Video
after its theatrical release.
