Kantara: Chapter 1 roars at BO
Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’, which has been making waves since it’s theatrical release two weeks ago, amasses over Rs 700 crore in box office collections.
A prequel to the 2002 hit ‘Kantara’, the film was released on October 2 in multiple languages.
Homable Films, under which the film was produced, in a post on X wrote: “A divine storm at the box office $KantaraChapter1 roars past Rs 717.50 crores GBOC worldwide in 2 weeks. Celebrate Deepavali with #BlockbuaterKantata running successfully in cinemas near you!”
For the unknown, the film depicts the conflict between tribals of the Kantara forest and a tyrannical king. The film stars Rishab Shetty in the lead role along with Saptami Gowda, Gulshan Devaiah, Rukmini Vasanth Jayaram and PD Satish Chandra among others.
