LIK is Coming Home to Streaming: Love, Chaos & Vignesh Shivan Style Enter May 6

LIK:

If you’ve been hearing whispers about LIK – Love Insurance Kompany, here’s the simple version: it’s finally landing on streaming, and it looks like a full-on fun ride.

Starting May 6, the film will be available on Prime Video in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, so basically, it’s going wide for everyone.

This one comes from director Vignesh Shivan, who usually likes to mix romance, chaos, and a bit of emotional mess in a way that somehow still feels light. LIK seems to be in that same space — not just a straight love story, but something with a quirky twist (the “insurance” angle already tells you it’s not going to be a normal romance).

The cast lineup is pretty packed too:

Pradeep Ranganathan leads the show, bringing that modern, slightly chaotic hero energy he’s become known for. Alongside him is Krithi Shetty, who’s steadily building her space in mainstream cinema.

Then you’ve got S. J. Suryah, which usually means things are going to get either intense, unpredictable, or both. Add Yogi Babu for comedy, and you already know there’ll be moments that break the tension just when things get too serious.

Supporting names like Seeman, Gouri G Kishan, Shah Ra, and Malavika round out the cast, giving it that mixed flavour of drama, humour, and familiar faces.

From what it looks like, LIK isn’t trying to be overly deep or complicated. It’s more in that “just sit back and enjoy the ride” category — romance, confusion, some comedy, and a bit of emotional punch here and there.

And with it hitting streaming directly in multiple languages, it feels like one of those films that’s aiming for a wider audience without making a big fuss about it.

So yeah, if you missed it in theatres or just waited for the OTT drop (which a lot of people do anyway), May 6 is the date to remember.
