Mandaadi Trailer Review:
The much-awaited Mandaadi trailer is finally out, and honestly, it looks much bigger than expected. The trailer gives us a good mix of boat racing, drama, action, emotions and romance, with the sea setting adding a different flavour to the whole film. The story revolves around a traditional boat race and the rivalry between two teams, which seems to be the main driving force.
The biggest highlight for me is clearly the Soori and Suhas face-off. Both actors appear to be going all out, and their rivalry gives the trailer some serious energy. Soori looks rugged and intense, while Suhas seems to be playing a character with a completely different attitude. Their clash could be one of the major reasons to watch the movie.

What also works is the way the trailer doesn’t depend only on action. There are emotional moments, relationship drama and romance mixed into the story. The coastal backdrop and boat-racing sequences give Mandaadi a fresh look compared with the usual sports dramas.
The visuals are another plus. A large portion of the film was shot at sea, and the makers have clearly taken some serious risks to capture those sequences. The team reportedly spent weeks shooting in the water, which shows on screen from the intensity of the action.

And yes, the trailer does feel like it is almost telling us the entire movie. But at the same time, there seems to be enough drama and character conflict left to keep things interesting. Whether the actual film can maintain this pace for over two and a half hours is the big question.
Overall, Mandaadi looks like a solid theatrical entertainer with a strong coastal setting and an interesting Soori-Suhas rivalry. If the emotional portions work as well as the action, this could turn out to be a good one for fans of sports and action dramas. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on September 10, 2026.
