Irandu Vaanam:

Vishnu Vishal seems to be on a pretty solid OTT run right now. After the massive response to Gatta Kusthi 2 on Netflix, the actor is reportedly back on the platform’s radar in a big way.

The latest buzz is about Irandu Vaanam, whose digital streaming rights have reportedly been picked up by Netflix for a whopping ₹26 crore.

Yes, ₹26 crore.

According to reports doing the rounds, Netflix was apparently impressed with the film after watching it and wasted little time in closing the deal. The platform is said to have instantly locked the digital rights, showing just how much confidence it has in the project.

A big reason behind this could be Vishnu Vishal’s recent OTT performance. Gatta Kusthi 2 reportedly stayed among Netflix’s top-performing titles for more than eight weeks, giving the actor another strong reason for the streaming giant to bet on him again.

And ₹26 crore is certainly not a small deal.

For Irandu Vaanam, this could turn out to be a major boost even before the film reaches theatres. Netflix’s involvement also adds plenty of attention to the project, especially among audiences who closely follow Tamil cinema and its OTT releases.

The interesting part is that the film has managed to create this kind of buzz without even arriving on the streaming platform yet. If the theatrical run also turns out to be strong, Irandu Vaanam could have a pretty interesting journey ahead.

For Vishnu Vishal, meanwhile, this is another encouraging sign. With Gatta Kusthi 2 finding a strong audience on Netflix and now Irandu Vaanam reportedly commanding a ₹26 crore digital deal, the actor’s OTT market clearly seems to be getting bigger.

Now, all eyes are on the film’s theatrical release. If the content lives up to the expectations, Netflix might just have made another very smart bet.
