OTT Releases Are Packed:
Okay… this week is kind of insane if you’re someone who keeps scrolling OTT apps like “what should I watch next?”
Because there’s a lot dropping. Like, way more than usual.
Let’s start with what’s already streaming.
Right now, you’ve got Bugsy and The Rhythm of Revenge on Netflix, plus Dr. Seuss’s Horton Season 2 for something lighter. Not a bad mix already.
Then May 5 comes in with a bunch of rental titles on Amazon Prime Video — stuff like Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, André Is an Idiot, The Drama, A Great Awakening, and more. Mostly pay-per-view, so yeah… depends if you’re in the mood to spend.
May 6 is where things actually pick up.
Love Insurance Kompany drops in multiple languages on Prime Video, and at the same time, Citadel Season 2 arrives — which is probably the biggest release of the week for many. Netflix also brings in Love Is Blind: Poland and Worst Ex Ever Season 2, so reality show fans are sorted.
May 7 feels like Netflix overload.
You’ve got Legends, The Chestnut Man (with a new storyline), Countdown: Rousey vs Carano, Vertical Limit, My Dearest Assassin… basically something in every genre. Plus Send Help over on Hulu.
And then May 8… yeah, this is the craziest day.
So many releases it’s honestly hard to keep track.
The one getting attention locally is Oh Butterfly on Sun NXT — more of a psychological drama vibe.
Then you’ve got:
Dacoit hitting Prime Video
Satan The Dark, Love Mocktail 3, Superhit
Vaazha 2: Biopic of a Billion Bros dropping on JioHotstar & SimplySouth
Bharatanatyam 2: Mohiniyattam on Netflix
And that’s not even the full list.
There are also international drops like Remarkably Bright Creatures, My Royal Name Is, Thank You, Next Season 3, plus a bunch of rental titles again. Oh, and Greenland 2: Migration on HBO Max.
May 9 and 10 slow things down slightly, but still:
Song Sung Blue on JioHotstar
And Nosferatu arriving on Netflix
At this point, it’s not even about “what’s good” — it’s more like “what do I even start with?”
There’s literally something for everyone this week — thrillers, romance, reality shows, regional films, big series, random experimental stuff… everything.
So yeah, if you were waiting for new content — you got it.
Now the real problem? Finding the time to watch it all.
