OTT This Week

OTT platforms are back again with a fresh batch of releases this week. Nothing too overwhelming, but a couple of films that might actually grab your attention if you’re in the mood to just switch off and watch something new at home.

Veerabhadrudu is now coming to OTT

Suriya’s Veerabhadrudu had a fairly recent theatrical run, and now it’s heading to Amazon Prime Video.

It’s one of those intense action dramas where Suriya plays a character fighting against corruption inside the system. The film is directed by R.J. Balaji, and Trisha plays the female lead.

At its core, it’s about power, misuse of authority, and one man pushing back against it all. Suriya’s role is pretty central to the film’s energy, and he carries those heavier courtroom and conflict-driven moments well.

If you missed it in theatres, it’s now available to watch from home this Friday on Prime Video. Could be a decent weekend watch if you’re into action dramas with a social angle.

A slow-burn investigation story in Dridam

Dridam takes a very different route. It’s an investigative thriller centered around a police officer who moves to a rural posting hoping for a quieter life… but things obviously don’t stay quiet for long.

Played by Shane Nigam, the officer slowly gets pulled into a case involving murders and a bank robbery. The story builds from there, layer by layer, as he tries to figure out what’s actually going on.

It’s not a flashy film. It’s more about the process of investigation, the confusion, and the pressure that builds as the case deepens.

The film originally released last month, and now it’s coming to JioHotstar this Friday.
