The film is now available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Story Overview
The story is set in a small village at the foothills of a hill in Vizianagaram district. Although hundreds of people live there, the village has no official recognition in government records. As a result, both the village and its residents are looked down upon by society.
Peddi (Ram Charan), who was born and raised in this village, works as a daily wage laborer in Vizianagaram. Despite his humble profession, he is an exceptionally talented cricketer. During local cricket auctions, teams from Vizianagaram and Bobbili compete fiercely to recruit him. Known for his ability to smash six sixes in six balls, Peddi earns the nickname “Aata Coolie” (the cricket laborer).
However, circumstances force Peddi to give up cricket and become a wrestler. Why does he make this life-changing decision? Who is Acchiyamma (Janhvi Kapoor)? And what does Peddi do to fight for the rights and future of his village?
These questions form the heart of Peddi.
