For the last few days, rumors have been circulating about the biopic of Carnatic music icon, M.S. Subbulakshmi. But today, the makers have finally announced that Rashmika Mandanna would play M.S. Subbulakshmi in the film. The film would be titled “MS Subbulakshmi Amma”.
The film would come out to light on September 16th, which would be her 116th birth anniversary. There would be an official celebration in Chennai and the chief guest would be Kamal Haasan.
Gautham Tinnanuri will be the director of the film. The music department would be handled by Anirudh Ravichander.
Earlier, the names like Sai Pallavi, Rukmini Vasanth and Keerthy Suresh had been suggested. But now the producers have chosen Rashmika for the role. It has been heard that she has completed her look test for her role as M.S. Subbulakshmi.
