The trailer of Shaque – Trust No One is finally out, and going by what we see, this one looks like it could keep viewers guessing till the very end.
Starring Parineeti Chopra and Tahir Raj Bhasin in the lead, the upcoming Netflix series seems to be built around one simple idea — trust nobody. And honestly, the trailer does a pretty good job of making you question almost every character.
Parineeti Chopra appears to be playing a character caught in a situation where nothing is quite what it seems. There’s a sense of mystery around her, and the trailer doesn’t give away too much about what is actually going on. That’s probably a good thing.
Tahir Raj Bhasin also looks interesting in a role that seems to have plenty of grey shades. His chemistry and confrontations with Parineeti add to the tension, and you get the feeling that there is a lot more happening beneath the surface.
The trailer moves between suspicion, secrets and emotional drama, without revealing the entire game. There are enough little clues thrown in to make you start forming your own theories. Of course, whether those theories turn out to be right is something we’ll have to wait and see.
What stands out is the atmosphere. Shaque – Trust No One looks dark and tense, but it doesn’t seem to be relying only on shock value. The story appears to be more about people, relationships and the question of who can actually be trusted.
Parineeti, especially, seems to be stepping into another interesting space with this series. After seeing the trailer, it will be interesting to see how her character develops once the full story unfolds.
The series is directed to keep the mystery intact, and thankfully, the trailer doesn’t spell everything out. In a genre where trailers often end up revealing half the plot, that’s actually refreshing.
Shaque – Trust No One is all set to premiere on Netflix on September 24.
If you enjoy mystery thrillers where everyone has something to hide and every new revelation makes you question what you just saw, this one definitely deserves a spot on the watchlist.
