People are calling it “Superman at rest,” which honestly feels right.
Like… he’s just there. Not saving anyone, not mid-punch, not glowing with power. Just kind of existing for a second. It almost feels like you’re seeing Clark Kent in between everything, not the full-on superhero mode. And that’s probably why it stands out.
I think what James Gunn is going for is pretty clear here. He’s not trying to show Superman as this untouchable god right away. It feels more human, a bit quieter. Maybe even a little vulnerable? Not in a weak way, just… normal, for a moment.
