The Devil Wears Prada 2:
Feels kind of crazy saying this, but The Devil Wears Prada 2 has already crossed $430 million worldwide and it still hasn’t slowed down much.
A lot of people expected the movie to do “pretty well” because the original film has such a huge fanbase, but this level of success? Yeah, not many predicted that. Some box office reports are now saying the film could actually go past $700 million before its theatrical run ends, which is wild for a sequel that arrived this many years later.
What’s interesting is that it’s not only older fans showing up for nostalgia. The movie somehow clicked with younger audiences too. Clips from the film have been everywhere online lately, especially scenes involving Meryl Streep because honestly, Miranda Priestly still walks into a room and completely owns the movie.
Anne Hathaway coming back definitely helped too. A lot of viewers were nervous this sequel would feel unnecessary or forced, but reactions have actually been much better than expected. People seem genuinely surprised by how entertaining it turned out.
The fashion side of the movie is also getting talked about a lot again. Some fans are saying the outfits and styling are even stronger this time around, while others are mostly just happy to revisit that whole fashion-magazine world again after so many years.
As for OTT streaming, there’s still no official date yet. But since the movie is made under 20th Century Studios, it’ll most likely stream on Disney+
and Hulu
internationally after the theatrical run wraps up.
In India, there’s a strong chance it ends up on JioHotstar later on, though nothing has been formally announced yet.
For now though, the movie is still doing huge business in theatres, and honestly it’s turning into one of the biggest surprise hits of 2026.
