The Odyssey Is Finally Coming Home — Here’s When You Can Watch It

The Odyssey

If you have missed the screening of The Odyssey in theaters, or have been patiently waiting for the day when you will finally be able to watch it comfortably at home, I have some great news. The highly anticipated epic film by Christopher Nolan is set to go digital on November 17, 2026.

The film will hit digital not long after its theatrical run, with both digital and physical releases expected to come out. Therefore, no matter if you prefer watching films online or having a 4K Blu-ray on your shelf, you will get your wish fulfilled.

As for the digital version, it will be available in 4K Ultra HD, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, which means you will be able to enjoy high-quality home cinema experience, if you have a good TV and sound system. At least in the United States, it will be possible to watch the movie online via Apple TV and Prime Video.

Physical copies of the film are also set to become available in 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD formats.

And the box office numbers make the film’s home release even more interesting. The Odyssey has reportedly earned over $1.77 billion worldwide against a production budget of around $250 million. Those numbers have also made it the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time.

That’s a massive achievement for a film based on one of the most famous stories in ancient Greek mythology. Nolan’s take on Homer’s classic has clearly attracted a huge audience, and its digital debut will give even more people the opportunity to watch it.

With the November 17 release date now set, the wait to bring The Odyssey home isn’t much longer. If you’ve been holding off on watching it, or simply want to experience it again, mark the date on your calendar.

The Odyssey arrives digitally on November 17, 2026. The US release is planned for Apple TV and Prime Video, with 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD editions also expected.
