Varanasi Ramayana sequence 20 minutes CCXPMexico SSKarthikeya:

So this just came out from #CCXPMexico via #SSKarthikeya, and it’s one of those updates that instantly makes people go “wait… what?”
The film Varanasi is reportedly featuring a 20-minute sequence inspired by the Ramayana. Not a passing reference, not a quick visual hint — a full stretch of storytelling drawn from the Ramayana.
And honestly, that’s a pretty bold thing to just casually drop.
No one’s fully explaining how it fits into the main story yet, but knowing the kind of scale this project is aiming for, it probably won’t feel like a “separate” segment. It’ll likely be woven into the narrative in a way that hits both visually and emotionally… or at least that’s what people are expecting now.
Also, 20 minutes in a big-budget film isn’t small. That’s basically a mini-film inside the film if they go all in with world-building and visuals.
Right now, that’s all that’s confirmed. But this one detail alone is already doing the rounds everywhere, because mixing mythology with large-scale cinema like this always gets attention — especially when it’s handled on this level.
More updates will probably come out later, but yeah… this Ramayana-inspired stretch is definitely going to be one of the talking points when Varanasi finally drops.
