Kantara Chapter 1 on OTT
Kannada actor Rishab Shetty’s much-awaited prequel to his 2022 blockbuster ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ is all set to be released on OTT soon. ‘Kantara Chapter 1’, which is running housefull in theatres across India, drives into the origins of Buta Kola ritual.
The film has been winning hearts and the fans are awaiting for its digital release. According to reports, Amazon Prime Video has bagged the digital rights to the film, reportedly at a massive sum of Rs 125 crore. The deal, if reports are said to be true, is the second-most expensive post-theatrical deal for a Kannada film. The first rank in the list is topped by Yash’s KGF2.
According to reports, the streaming of the film is most likely to be around October 30. However, the filmmakers are yet to confirm the official streaming date. Meanwhile, the film will be released in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. Fans will have to stay tuned for official confirmation from the filmmakers!
