
If you are a fan of chilling dramas, this news is for you! HBO Max is adding a chilling treat ahead of Halloween. Zach Cergger’s summer horror hit from Warner Brother’s ‘Weapons’ will land on the streaming platform on October 24.
Cregger, who came to limelight in 2022 with his breakout horror film ‘Barbarian, has returned with his second feature, one that dives deeper into fear and mystery. The film, which was released in August, had early preview shows which was seen as a clever nod to a haunting moment in the story.
The film revolves around an eerie incident where an entire class of third graders vanishes one night. CCTV footage shows that all the wards woke up exactly at 2.17 am, walked into the woods, and were never seen again. The only clue investigators have — one student didn’t leave his home last night. What comes next is a chilling, fear-fuelled search involving parents, teachers, police and others who are gripped with panic and disbelief.
The cast includes Julia Garner, Josh Brolin, Alden Ehrenreich, Amy Madigan, Benedict Wong and Austin Abram among others. The film was produced by Cregger, Roy Lee, Miri Yoon, JD Lifshitz and Raphael Margules under the banner of New Line Cinemas. It was produced in collaboration with Subconscious, Vertigo Entertainment, and BoulderLight pictures.
