The series is a mystery-thriller story unfolding in a dark coastal town where a missing person case paves the way to even more unusual events. Expecting ancient magic, witches and their secrets, you won’t be disappointed. And yes, even chickens. Chickens included.
YAGA is going to air on Crave on October 23, when the first two episodes will become available at once.
What Is YAGA About?
The show will transport the viewer into a mysterious coastal town, where a disappearance becomes the key element of the mystery. As the investigation goes on, the situation only becomes stranger, with ancient magic and witches getting involved.
The show finds its origins in the plays by playwright Kat Sandler, who wrote the original play on which the series is based.
Not giving any spoilers about the story, the creators seem to keep the intrigue alive. The new poster only fuels it without spoiling everything.
YAGA Director and Cast
YAGA is created and written by Kat Sandler and is directed by David Frazee and Rachel Talalay.
The series has a pretty interesting cast lineup. Carrie-Anne Moss, Hudson Williams, Noah Reid and Clark Backo are the main stars.
Carrie-Anne Moss is, of course, a familiar face to many viewers, while Hudson Williams has been getting plenty of attention recently. Noah Reid and Clark Backo round out the central cast.
Two Episodes Arrive on October 23
One thing that should make the premiere a little more interesting is that Crave is releasing two episodes on day one.
That gives viewers a proper chance to get into the story instead of having to wait a week after just one episode. And considering the mystery, magic and unusual setting involved, having two episodes right away should help set up the world of YAGA.
For now, the details are pretty simple: a strange coastal town, a missing-person mystery, witches, ancient magic and a cast led by Carrie-Anne Moss.
