Yellowjackets to End with Season 4
After keeping audiences on the edge of their seats for years, Showtime’s breakout thriller Yellowjackets will officially conclude with its upcoming Season 4, the network announced this week.
The critically acclaimed series, known for its chilling mix of survival drama, mystery, and psychological horror, will bring the story of the haunted soccer team to a close — promising answers, revelations, and a final reckoning.
A Bold Ending, By Design
Showtime confirmed that the decision to end Yellowjackets with Season 4 was part of a creative plan between the showrunners and the network.
“We’ve always had a clear roadmap for this story,” said co-creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson. “Season 4 will give fans the ending they’ve been waiting for — emotional, dark, and true to the world we built.”
The series first premiered in 2021 and quickly gained a cult following for its dual-timeline storytelling and raw portrayal of trauma, survival, and the long shadow of the past. It received multiple Emmy nominations and has remained one of Showtime’s most talked-about original series.
Where We Left Off
Season 3, which aired earlier in 2025, ended with major cliffhangers in both the 1990s survival timeline and the present-day storyline, as secrets unraveled and new threats emerged. With Season 4 set to tie up lingering mysteries — including the fate of key characters and the origins of the cult-like rituals — fans can expect an intense, emotionally charged final chapter.
The Cast’s Final Run
