Avatar: Fire and Ash movie review:

Okay so I finally watched Avatar: Fire and Ash on Amazon Prime… and wow, it’s a weird mix.
Directed by James Cameron, you can tell he went all out on the visuals. Like seriously, the world of Pandora still looks insane. Fire, flying creatures, massive battles… some parts made me go “holy crap” out loud. The movie is just gorgeous to look at.
Sam Worthington is back as Jake, Zoe Saldaña as Neytiri, and they’re fine. You root for them, they feel real-ish, and they hit the emotional bits okay. Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Jack Champion, Britain Dalton — everyone’s acting okay too, but honestly, most of the new characters kinda fade. You don’t remember them after like a day.

Story… yeah, story is where it trips. It’s basically the same beats from before: humans being jerks, Na’vi trying to survive, epic fights, family drama. Some stuff drags on, some stuff happens so fast you barely get it. And 3+ hours feels long. Sometimes I’m just staring at the scenery thinking, “cool… but when is something actually happening?”
But the thing is, I still didn’t get bored. The visuals are enough to keep you hooked. Music and score are fine, nothing memorable, but not annoying either.
So yeah… it’s messy, long, and familiar. But if you just wanna see Pandora, huge battles, fire everywhere, and a visual spectacle, it’s worth it. Don’t go expecting a super tight story or anything new — this movie is more about feeling it than thinking about it.
