Bhooth Bangla Review:

Now streaming on Netflix India Bhooth Bangla brings Akshay Kumar back into the horror-comedy space. The setup sounds fun. A house strange incidents and a mix of scares with comedy.. The final result is just okay.
The film starts with a lot of energy like an Akshay Kumar movie. There’s humor, quirky characters and a spooky mystery inside a house. For a while it feels like it might pick up nicely.
As the story moves forward the mix of horror and comedy doesn’t work well. The scary moments aren’t that scary. The comedy works only sometimes. You laugh a times, but not enough to keep the momentum going.

Akshay Kumar does what he usually does in these kinds of films. He keeps things light tries to be funny and stays energetic.. Even he can’t make the predictable scenes feel exciting. The supporting cast adds some moments but they don’t get enough to do.
The story is very familiar. If you’ve watched horror-comedies before you’ll know what’s coming. The mystery, around the haunted house doesn’t build tension. The big reveals aren’t surprising.
The film looks okay. Not bad not great. The haunted house setup had potential. It doesn’t feel spooky. Everything feels safe and formula-driven.
There are moments where Bhooth Bangla tries to be fun and spooky. It can’t decide which one to be. It ends up being just average.
Final Verdict
Bhooth Bangla is a horror-comedy that has some good moments but doesn’t deliver scares or laughs. It’s an one-time watch if you like Akshay Kumar but don’t expect something new or surprising.
Now streaming on Netflix India.
