Breakfast Movie Review

Tamil cinema often gives us nice surprises with small films that do not need big stars or huge budgets. Breakfast is one film. Directed by Gandhi Krishna this romantic drama introduces newcomers Raanav and Rosmin Thadathil in the roles. The film tries to tell a love story without any extra drama.

The story is two young people who meet in a normal way and slowly become close. The film does not rush into twists. Instead it takes its time to build their relationship. The focus is on feelings, conversations and the small moments that bring two people closer.

Raanav does a job in his first film. He looks comfortable on screen. Handles emotional scenes well. Rosmin Thadathil also makes an impression with her natural acting. Since both actors are new there are moments where they feel a bit raw.. That makes their characters feel more real. Krithik Mohan and Amitha Ranganth support well. Help keep the story moving.

Director Gandhi Krishna keeps things simple. The film does not try too hard to impress with drama. Instead it focuses on feelings that we can relate to and situations. Some scenes work well because they feel real and not forced.

The music fits well with the films mood. The songs are pleasant. The background score supports emotional moments without being too loud. The film looks neat with some shot sequences that make the romantic atmosphere better.

That said, Breakfast is not a film. The pacing feels slow in some places in the middle. Some viewers may want conflict or stronger dramatic moments. A few scenes could have been cut to make the story tighter.

Still the films biggest strength is its sincerity. It does not try to be something than it is. It’s a romantic drama that relies on simple storytelling and genuine emotions.

Final Verdict

Breakfast is an easy-going romantic film that works because of its honest approach. While it may not surprise us much it gives us heart and warmth to keep romance lovers engaged. If you’re in the mood, for a feel-good love story this film is worth watching on Amazon Prime Video and Simply South.
