Performances
The leads are electric. Siddhant Chaturvedi delivers a career-defining performance, portraying vulnerability and rage in equal measure. Triptii Dimri matches every beat, especially in the emotionally loaded second half. Their chemistry is raw and lived-in — not just romantic, but rebellious.
Direction & Music
Director Shazia Iqbal brings visual poetry to chaos, with sweeping shots and intimate close-ups that highlight the characters’ inner turmoil. The soundtrack, while not as instantly iconic as the original Dhadak, complements the narrative with haunting melodies and folk-inspired beats that linger.
Verdict
Dhadak 2 doesn’t aim to recreate the original’s glossy appeal — it chooses instead to tell a bolder, more grounded story. And it works. With its emotional heft, strong performances, and a sharp social undercurrent, this is a sequel that dares to feel — and makes you feel, too.
