Forest Guard Review:
Forest Guard is the Tamil version of the Malayalam film Meesha and it is now on Aha. The film is directed by Emcy Joseph. It is a psychological survival thriller. The forest is not a backdrop in this film.
The story is about a group of people who go into a forest.. Things do not go as planned. The situation becomes uncomfortable quickly. What seems simple at first becomes a fight for survival. The movie keeps you wondering what is really happening. As they go deeper into the forest the tension builds up.
The atmosphere of the film is very good. The forest setting makes you feel uneasy. There are no things in the film. The movie is about the characters and what they are going through.

Kathir does a job in the lead role. He is very good in the scenes where he has to show fear and confusion. Shine Tom Chacko is very good as always. Hakkimshah and Sudhi Kopa and Sreekanth Murali do a job too.
The psychological part of the film is very interesting. The film does not just rely on action or jump scares. It plays with the characters minds and their will to survive. Some parts of the film are slow.. The tension builds up as the story moves forward.
The Tamil version of the film is on Aha. This makes it easy for more people to watch the film.. People who watch Malayalam films may like the original version better.
Overall Forest Guard is a psychological survival thriller. It is for people who like films about the forest and slow stories. It is not a paced film.. If you watch it you will see that it has a lot of twists and tension.
