Story
After helping his wife Keerthi (Aishwarya Lekshmi) achieve her dream of becoming a wrestling champion, Veera (Vishnu Vishal) happily takes charge of the household and looks after their young daughter while Keerthi juggles her railway job and wrestling career.
Just when everything seems to be going well, jealousy enters the picture. Keerthi’s coach, unable to accept her growing popularity, hatches a plan to sabotage her career. Veera unknowingly gets caught in the middle, and the consequences are serious. Keerthi loses her chance to compete at the national level, misunderstandings drive the couple apart, and their relationship eventually lands in court.
Can Keerthi uncover the truth behind her setback? Will Veera prove his innocence? And more importantly, can love survive when trust is broken? That’s what Gatta Kusthi 2 sets out to answer.

Review
Sequels usually carry the burden of living up to the original, and Gatta Kusthi 2 doesn’t try to outdo its predecessor with bigger action or unexpected twists. Instead, it sticks to what worked the first time—a simple, entertaining story packed with comedy, emotions, and family values.
The opening half takes its time introducing the couple’s new life after marriage. Much of it revolves around everyday misunderstandings and light-hearted marital banter. While these scenes are enjoyable in parts, the first half does feel a little stretched.
Things get much more interesting after Keerthi loses her place in the national championship. From there, the film finds its rhythm. The emotional conflict between the husband and wife is handled well, and the courtroom episodes add a surprising dose of humor.
Some of the film’s best moments come from the father-daughter relationship. Their scenes feel warm, natural, and often steal the spotlight. Vishnu Vishal’s comic timing, especially in the school sequences, keeps the laughs coming without feeling forced.
Beyond the entertainment, the film also touches on an important message—encouraging girls to learn self-defense from a young age. Thankfully, it never feels preachy and blends naturally into the story.
The climax is another pleasant surprise. Instead of ending with a routine emotional confrontation, the film stages a romantic wrestling match that is both entertaining and emotionally satisfying.
Performances
Vishnu Vishal once again proves why he’s so likable in family entertainers. He brings warmth, humor, and sincerity to Veera, making the character easy to root for.
Aishwarya Lekshmi is equally impressive as Keerthi. She balances strength and vulnerability with ease, making her performance believable throughout.
Karunas, Yogi Babu, and the supporting cast add plenty of laughs, while Ramya Krishnan and the rest of the ensemble play their parts effectively.
Technical Aspects
Director Chella Ayyavu keeps the storytelling simple and accessible. There’s nothing particularly groundbreaking about the plot, but the screenplay relies on humor and emotions rather than unnecessary twists. The film maintains a clean, family-friendly tone from start to finish, which works in its favor.
