I Nobody movie review:
There is something about a heist movie that simply pulls you in. You feel that things will go wrong that someone may hide secrets. You still want to see how the whole plan falls apart. I, Nobody, available on JioHotstar tries to capture that feeling – and mostly it succeeds.
Directed by Nissam Basheer and written by Sameer Abdul this Malayalam action thriller gathers Prithviraj Sukumaran, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Hakkim Shahjahan and Vijayaraghavan in a tale that revolves around crime, deception and a planned heist.
What I liked most about I Nobody is that it does not rush to throw everything at you. It spends some time setting up its characters and the situation before the real game begins. When the heist starts to take shape I Nobody becomes more interesting. There are betrayals shifting loyalties and enough twists to keep you guessing about who’s actually playing whom.

Prithviraj is always in his comfort zone here. He brings that controlled, intimidating presence that works very well for this kind of character. He does not need to do much to command a scene. Parvathy meanwhile has a character with depth than what first meets the eye and she makes the most of it.
Hakkim Shahjahan is another standout. His performance gives I Nobody some of its unpredictability while Vijayaraghavan adds the weight and experience you would expect from him.
That said, I, Nobody is not a heist thriller. The pacing can feel uneven in places especially when the film slows down between the exciting moments. A few developments also seem to be mainly to set up the next twist rather than because they naturally belong to the story. If you come expecting a constructed edge‑of‑the‑seat thriller from start to finish you might find some of those quieter stretches frustrating.
But when the movie gets going it gets going.
The action is handled with an amount of style without taking over the film. Importantly I, Nobody understands that a heist is only as interesting as the people involved. The tension comes less from watching people break into something and more from wondering who can actually be trusted.

That is probably where I, Nobody works best.
I Nobody is not trying to reinvent the heist genre. Instead it takes ingredients – crime, secrets, double‑crosses, action and a bunch of characters with their own agendas – and puts them together in a reasonably entertaining package.
The biggest issue is that some twists do not land with the impact that I, Nobody seems to aim for. You may figure out a things before the characters do. Still there are turns along the way to keep the experience enjoyable.
Overall I Nobody is a Malayalam heist thriller with a strong cast, good performances and enough twists to make it worth a watch. It has its edges but it never becomes completely dull which is probably the biggest compliment you can give a thriller.

Watch I Nobody if you enjoy Malayalam crime thrillers heist stories and movies where nobody is quite as trustworthy as they seem.
