Video Kannada Movie OTT Release:
Kannada cinema has been trying out different types of horror films, and Video is one such film that grabs attention with its found-footage style. The movie is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video, making it an option for viewers who enjoy horror stories that feel raw, realistic and a little too close to real life.
Directed by Srinidhi Bengaluru, Video features Bharath K Tumkur, Jeevan Shivakumar, Tejesh S Manjunath, Priya J Achar, Nalme Nachiyar, Nagesh Yadav, Pavanaputra, Hari Samashti and Dheekshith Shetty in key roles.
Video Movie Review
The aspect that makes Video so special is the usage of found-footage. While traditional horror movies usually rely on background music, special lighting, and jump scares, this genre attempts to make everything look as if it is happening right before our eyes. The camera becomes a crucial element that makes people feel that what they see could not have been intended for their viewing.

One of the major benefits of using such a method of making movies is realism. In case the director manages to use it wisely, even the simplest shots may appear to be unpleasant since people do not understand what is going to happen next. The restricted camera view adds to the tension, especially for those movie fans who prefer suspense to constant scary moments.
However, Srinidhi Bengaluru is a director who attempts to explore the very genre that requires proper execution. It would be hard to create an effective found footage horror movie; there should be an engaging plot and realistic acting that makes the events seem believable. Otherwise, all the efforts will be wasted.
The movie features such actors as Bharath K Tumkur, Jeevan Shivakumar, Tejesh S Manjunath, Priya J Achar and others. Realistic reactions and acting are especially important in this kind of film.
What Works and What Doesn’t Work
The idea behind found footage itself works well for horror enthusiasts who are looking for something other than the commercialized horror genre. Such an authentic style might be appealing to those who want to immerse themselves in the horror experience.
At the same time, found footage might not work for everybody because some people like the shakiness and the realistic nature of such filming, while others might find it boring in comparison to regular horror films.

If you are planning to watch horror movies from Amazon Prime Video, you should not hesitate to put Video in your list. Note that found-footage horror movies are different from standard horror movies, and so do not have wrong expectations.
Verdict: Found-footage horror thriller to watch.
