Memu Copulam Review: Silly, Suspicious… and Surprisingly Fun

Memu Copulam:

There’s something oddly enjoyable about Memu Copulam. It doesn’t try too hard to look “smart” or overly cinematic, and maybe that’s exactly why it works. The show goes with a simple comedy-mystery setup, throws a bunch of weird characters into the mix, and just lets the madness unfold naturally.

The biggest plus is definitely the comedy timing. Getup Srinu carries a lot of the fun scenes with his usual chaotic energy, but the humor here feels less forced than some recent Telugu comedy shows. A few jokes miss, sure, but overall the series keeps things light and entertaining without becoming cringe every five minutes.

Nagendra Babu brings a calm presence to the madness, while Ravi Teja Nannimala gets some genuinely funny moments too. The chemistry between the cast feels natural — like they’re actually having fun instead of just reading punch dialogues.

What surprised me most was the mystery angle. It’s not some edge-of-the-seat thriller or anything, but the story gives enough curiosity to keep watching the next episode. Every time things start becoming predictable, the show throws in another silly twist or misunderstanding.

Direction by Pradeep Maddali keeps the pace smooth for the most part, and the writing by Shoban Chittuprolu understands what this show wants to be — fun first, mystery later. Thankfully, it never becomes too serious and ruin its own vibe.

That said, the series does feel stretched in a few places. Some scenes could’ve easily been trimmed, and a couple of emotional moments don’t really land. But honestly, this isn’t the kind of show you watch for deep storytelling anyway.

Produced under RAW Entertainments, Memu Copulam feels like a relaxed weekend binge — easy to watch, funny enough to keep going, and weirdly comforting.

If you’re expecting a heavy thriller, this may not work for you. But if you just want a fun Telugu web series with goofy humor, small mysteries, and entertaining performances, Memu Copulam actually turns out better than expected.
