Patriot Zee5 OTT Review:

Patriot has finally dropped on Zee5, and honestly, this is one of those films that doesn’t feel like a regular “OTT release” at all. It feels more like an event you sit down for.
The film is also available in multiple languages — Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu, apart from the original Malayalam — which makes it reach a much wider audience on OTT.
Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, the film brings together a massive cast — and not just names for the sake of it. Seeing Mammootty and Mohanlal in the same space already sets a certain expectation, and then you’ve got Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, and others just filling the screen with serious weight. It never really feels crowded — surprisingly, it feels balanced.
The film takes its time, which might not work for everyone. It’s not trying to be fast or flashy in a “mass thriller” way. Instead, it slowly builds this pressure around politics, trust, and survival. You kind of feel like something is always about to explode, even in the quiet scenes.
What really holds it together is the mood. The background score by Sushin Shyam just sits under your skin after a point. It doesn’t scream for attention, but it keeps pushing the tension forward in a way you notice only after a while.
There are moments where the film really hits hard — not because of action, but because of silence or just the way a character reacts. That’s where Patriot works best.
It’s not a perfect “easy watch.” Some parts definitely test your patience. But if you’re in the mood for something serious, political, and heavy on performances rather than noise, Patriot on Zee5 is worth sitting through.
