Shaque Trust No One Review:
Parineeti Chopra has finally made her web series debut with Shaque: Trust No One, and the title pretty much tells you what kind of ride this is. Directed by Rensil D’Silva, the mystery thriller is now streaming on Netflix.
The story revolves around a mother who has spent nine years searching for her missing child. Just when she starts getting clues that could finally lead her towards the truth, things become even more complicated. The closer she gets to the answer, the more she begins questioning the people around her — and eventually, even her own understanding of what happened.
And that is where Shaque gets its hook.

A Story Built Around Doubt

Parineeti Chopra Gets a Different Role

Parineeti Chopra steps into a very emotionally demanding role, playing a woman whose entire life has been shaped by the disappearance of her child. She has to balance grief, desperation and suspicion, while also trying to figure out whether the people around her are hiding something.
The role gives her plenty of scope to show a different side of her acting.
The supporting cast is another strong point. Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jennifer Winget, Soni Razdan, Anup Soni, Sumeet Vyas and Harleen Sethi add more characters to the mystery, and each one brings their own set of questions into the story.
Does Shaque Keep You Hooked?
For the most part, yes.
The series takes its time with the mystery instead of throwing all the answers at the audience immediately. One clue leads to another question, and just when you think you have figured something out, the story gives you another reason to doubt it.
That said, viewers looking for a fast-paced thriller from the first episode may find the pace a little slow in parts. The show spends quite a bit of time establishing relationships and the emotional background before getting deeper into the mystery.
But that slower approach also helps build the suspense.
Rensil D’Silva Keeps the Focus on Characters
Rensil D’Silva keeps the mystery closely connected to the characters and their relationships. The story isn’t only interested in solving the central mystery; it also looks at what happens when trust begins to disappear between people.
That makes the title Shaque: Trust No One quite fitting.
As the story progresses, suspicion becomes almost as important as the actual investigation. You keep wondering whether the characters are telling the complete truth or hiding something.

Shaque: Trust No One has an interesting premise, a strong ensemble and enough mystery to keep viewers curious. The missing-child storyline gives the show an emotional foundation, while the constant questions about trust add suspense.
The biggest strength is that the series doesn’t depend entirely on twists. The emotional journey of a mother searching for her child remains at the centre of the story.
For Parineeti Chopra, this is also an interesting OTT debut and a chance to explore a more intense and emotionally driven character.
If you’re into slow-burn mysteries, family secrets, suspense and stories where almost everyone looks suspicious, Shaque: Trust No One is definitely worth checking out.
